Carrickfergus Youngsters Raise Funds For Charitable Trust

Every year the young players from Carrickfergus RFC raise funds for charity and this year the boys from the Under-13s, Under-15s and Under-17s donated £10 each in the form of a ballot to win a framed and autographed Ulster jersey, in aid of the IRFU Charitable Trust.

The purchase and framing of the jersey was funded by Mrs Mattie Brownlee, a long term supporter of Carrick, Ulster and Irish rugby.

Chris Henry kindly undertook the job of having his team-mates autograph the Ulster jersey.

There was great anticipation on the evening of the Carrick Youth Awards night. Club President John Strange drew out the winner’s name – Under-15 loosehead prop Rory Magill who was delighted with his much coveted prize.

Well done Rory and well done boys for raising a total of £750 for the IRFU Charitable Trust.
