Tullow Hosts IRFU Welcoming Clubs Programme

Tullow RFC recently hosted an IRFU Welcoming Clubs Seminar. The Welcoming Clubs Programme is an IRFU initiative which provides a road map and training for the “team off the field” to assist them in running their sports club as efficiently as possible.

The seminar hosted by John Oates was aimed at helping clubs to gain a greater understanding of how to market their clubs and create initiatives to maintain and increase memberships.

Twenty two club members from nine different clubs in the North Midlands and South East  were in attendance. There was great feedback from the night with many of the attendees gaining a greater insight into the marketing of rugby as a business.

John Oates has gained years of experience working with premiership rugby clubs in the UK and also works with premier soccer clubs developing their business structures.
