‘The Bull’ was in flying form at the annual IRUPA Awards dinner this week as he was inducted into the Hall of Fame by IRUPA Chairman Brian O’Driscoll.
Irish Rugby TV caught up with John Hayes at the awards dinner and the normally camera shy ‘Bull’ was happy to give us an exclusive interview.
He was the first Irish player to reach 100 caps, has two Heineken Cup medals and a Grand Slam to his name but in typical fashion he pinpointed his first cap as one of his standout memories of a glittering rugby career.
