Highlights Of The Ireland Schools Side’s Semi-Final Win

The Ireland Under-18 Schools team, sponsored by PwC, qualified for the final of the FIRA/AER U-18 European Championship with a thrilling 22-20 win over France in Madrid on Tuesday. Check out highlights from the match.

Winger Gregory O’Shea scored a brace of tries and prop Charlie Slowey added a crucial third as the Ireland U-18 Schools outfit set up a mouth-watering final clash with England on Saturday.

Out-half Conor McKeon also had a key contribution against the French, landing two conversions and a penalties with his conversion of O’Shea’s second touchdown slotted from close to the left touchline.

Captain Daniel Leavy and his team-mates are hoping to retain the title won by the Irish Schools twelve months ago when they beat England 17-8 in Tarbes.
