Remaining Tickets On Sale For Connacht v Munster Clash

Connacht’s mouth-watering interprovincial match against Munster this Saturday looks is set to be a record-breaking affair with ticket sales already outstripping Connacht’s previous highest attendance.

Over 6,500 supporters packed out the Sportsground when Connacht faced Leinster on New Year’s Day, setting a new attendance record for a league match at the Galway venue.

And with three days to go before the Connacht v Munster clash, internet and phone bookings have already surpassed that mark. There are now only a handful of tickets available for the Bohermore and College Road terraces.

Kids tickets have sold out online and with only a small number left for sale in the branch offices on College Road, fans are advised to organise their tickets ahead of Saturday to guarantee entry.

To cater for the sensational demand extra temporary bars will be laid on at the Bohermore and College Road end of the grounds with additional food concessions also.

With fine weather expected Connacht are urging their fans to ‘green up’ the Sportsground and will be handing out Connacht flags before the 7.45pm kick-off.

Fans will also have the opportunity to purchase tickets to enter a draw to win a brand new Mazda 2. This fantastic prize has been laid on by Connacht’s title sponsors, Mazda Ireland.

There are some fantastic runner up prizes such as 2012/13 season tickets and international rugby tickets up for grabs too. Tickets can be purchased from staff on the evening.

The exceptional ticket sales come hot on the heels of Connacht’s recent signing announcements as head coach Eric Elwood builds his squad for next season.

Marque signings such as Dan Parks and Nathan White, coupled with the retention of homegrown talents such as Eoin Griffin and Tiernan O’Halloran, will make for a potent mix of youth and experience next season.

This weekend’s packed-out interpro fixture comes as a timely boost as Connacht Rugby are poised to launch their Season Ticket campaign in the coming days.

This means that supporters will not have long to wait before they are able to guarantee their tickets for what promises to be another exciting season for the westerners.
