Club Sevens 2012 Details

Details of this year’s IRFU Club Sevens programme have been finalised with the competition extending in each province to include underage Boys and Girls in each province.

The four provincially-based tournaments will the grass-roots of the game take aim for a place in the All-Ireland Club Sevens Championship in May. The winning All-Ireland Senior Men’s and Women’s teams will represent Irish Clubs in a Rugby Sevens tournament taking place in Europe during the summer.

Tournaments will see Men’s (Senior and Junior) and Women’s team drawn from clubs all over Ireland wrapping up the season in a highly competitive seven-a-side form of the game. This year will also see for the first time, underage Boys and Girls contesting province-wide titles in each event.

Four provincial rounds of IRFU Club Sevens will take place on April 28th with the All-Ireland Championship taking place two weeks later at Buccaneers RFC on Saturday, May 12th. Details on IRFU Club Sevens dates, registration and new can be found on www.irfusevens.ie.

– Connacht Championship (Galway Sportsgrounds, Galway)
– Leinster Championship (De La Salle Palmerston, Dublin)
– Munster Championship (Bruff RFC, Limerick)
– Ulster Championship (Belfast Harlequins RFC, Belfast)

Saturday May 12th
– All-Ireland Club Sevens Championship (Buccaneers RFC, Athlone)
