Young Exiles Contribute To Ireland U-18 Clubs

A very creditable performance by the Ireland Under-18 Clubs against their Schools counterparts on Thursday, December 30 was aided and abetted by the individual performances of six young Exiles.

Full-back Alex Webb (Merchiston Castle) continued from where he had left off in the last fixture versus the Welsh Exiles by appearing in the Ireland U-18 Clubs starting line-up, as did winger James O’Sullivan and flankers Frankie Taggart (both Whitgift School) and Joe Bercis (Rugby Lions).

Centre Sean O’Hagan (St. Benedict’s School) and prop Stephen Dalton (Ravenswood School) both came on within half-an-hour to boost their aspirations of making the squad for the game against Italy in February.

We wish the above well with their immediate futures, and trust they may be joined by further Exiles on the international trail.
