O’Mahony To Miss Return Fixture With Scarlets

Peter O’Mahony will miss Sunday’s return Heineken Cup clash with the Scarlets after sustaining a hairline crack to his jaw in the 17-14 round 3 win over the Welsh region.

After injurying his jaw Peter O’Mahony did not return for the second half of the game in Llanelli and was replaced by Ireland international Denis Leamy.

This afternoon an X-ray showed the damage that the young back rower sustained which will keep him sidelined for approximately two weeks.

Meanwhile, Keith Earls is expected to return to full training this week and could be included in the Munster squad for their final match before Christmas.

Peter Borlase (back), David O’Callaghan (knee) and Sean Scanlon (neck) all returned from injury in the Munster ‘A’ team’s British & Irish Cup win over Ayr last Saturday. Ivan Dineen (knee) also returns to training this week.
