No Fresh Injury Concerns For Ulster

Ulster have no fresh injury worries ahead of their Heineken Cup Pool 4 match against Leicester Tigers at Welford Road on Saturday night (kick-off 6pm).

Brian McLaughlin’s Ulster side started their campaign with an impressive 16-11 win over Clermont Auvergne at Ravenhill, and there are no casualties from that bruising encounter.

Prop John Afoa is unavailable this week after he returned to act as best man at fellow All Black Jerome Kaino’s wedding, a commitment Ulster Rugby were aware of when he arrived ahead of schedule earlier this month.

Ruan Pienaar, Luke Marshall and Jerry Cronin remain sidelined through injury.

Leicester recorded a 28-12 away victory over Aironi Rugby in round 1, so the winners of Saturday’s showdown will occupy first position going into the back-to-back clashes next month.

The two sides last met in the 2003/04 Heineken Cup with Ulster registering an emphatic 33-0 home win before being on the wrong end of a 49-7 scoreline in the away tie.

ULSTER Squad (v Leicester Tigers) – Backs (12): Paul Marshall, Ian Porter, Ian Humphreys, Paddy Jackson, Paddy Wallace, Nevin Spence, Ian Whitten, Darren Cave, Craig Gilroy, Simon Danielli, Andrew Trimble, Adam D’Arcy.

Forwards (19): Paddy McAllister, Callum Black, Tom Court, Adam Macklin, Declan Fitzpatrick, Andi Kyriacou, Nigel Brady, Rory Best, Lewis Stevenson, Johann Muller, Dan Tuohy, Tim Barker, Neil McComb, Mike McComish, Stephen Ferris, Pedrie Wannenburg, Willie Faloon, Chris Henry, Robbie Diack.
