Ulster Monitor Injured Trio

Johann Muller, Tom Court and Stephen Ferris are all in contention to play in Ulster’s Heineken Cup opener against Clermont Auvergne this weekend, despite picking up injuries in the league win over Connacht last Saturday.

Ulster captain Johann Muller sustained soft tissue damage to his forearm during the 22-3 victory, while Stephen Ferris (ankle) and Tom Court (knee) were both forced off in the second half.

All three players will receive continual treatment from the Ulster medical staff and a decision regarding their involvement in next Saturday’s Pool 4 game will be made later in the week.

Meanwhile, centre Luke Marshall (jaw) and prop Jerry Cronin (neck) are both a few weeks away from returning to action.
