Ireland And France: Celebrating A Century Of Rugby Rivalry

Mary Immaculate College in Limerick are hosting an evening to celebrate a century of Franco/Irish rugby relations with special guests including Donal Spring, Peter Clohessy, Jean-Michel Aguirre and Mick Galwey.

On Friday, November 11, Mary Immaculate College will host an evening to celebrate one hundred years of Ireland and France on and off the rugby pitch.

There will also be a keynot speak from Dr. Philip Dine, entitled ‘La Vie En Rose – Reinventing French Rugby in the Professional era’.

The event is being run by the National Centre for Franco-Irish Studies and was the brainchild of Director Eamonn Maher.

Special guests on the night will include Jean-Michel Aguirre, Dr. Dine and former Ireland Internationals Donal Spring, Peter Clohessy and Mick Galwey, who will share their memories of famous Ireland v France games through the years.

The evening starts at 5pm in room T118.

Entry free but RSVP essential by Wednesday 9 November to eamon.maher@ittdublin.ie
