Twomey And Oliver Appointed To Munster Roles

The recently advertised vacancy for a Munster Rugby Elite Player Development manager has now been filled with UCC and former Munster Under-20 head coach Conor Twomey securing the role.

The Elite Player Development manager (formerly Academy manager) will oversee the strategies and long-term objectives of the elite player development pathway in Munster.

Corkman Conor Twomey has coached the UCC senior squad for the past five seasons, and has held the positions of assistant coach and head coach for a number of sides including the Munster Under-20s, Munster Under-19s and Irish Universities.

Also joining the Munster Academy management is former Garryowen FC director of rugby Greig Oliver.

He takes over the position of Elite Player Development officer vacated by Ray Egan, who is emigrating to the USA.

Greig worked with the Limerick senior club for four years, has coached the Munster Under-19s and is currently involved with the Munster Under-20 representative side.

He has also worked with the Scottish Rugby Union in similar roles.
