Munster Team Named For Wasps Encounter

Doug Howlett, Lifeimi Mafi, BJ Botha and Mike Sherry will make their seasonal debuts for Munster in Friday’s friendly match against London Wasps at Musgrave Park (kick-off 7pm).

Once again, the province’s head coach Tony McGahan has selected an extended squad with ten players listed amongst the replacements.

The bench includes Tom Gleeson, Dave Foley and Duncan Williams, who are all in line for their first appearances of the campaign.

Friday night will be a night of firsts. The match is Munster’s first home game of the season, their first time wearing the new adidas home kit, it also marks a first Munster outing for South African prop BJ Botha and the first use of the new Musgrave Park stand.
