Pupils Complete Gaeltacht Rugby Scholarship Scheme

Fourteen boys and girls from secondary schools all over Ireland recently participated in the Galetach Rugby Scholarship Scheme in Colaiste Chorca Dhuibhne in County Kerry.

The scheme was run by Rugbaì Chorca Dhuibhne in association with the Irish Rugby Football Union.

The programme was the brain child of Paddy Fenton from Rugbaì Chorca Dhuibhne and Eoin Hogan from the IRFU. It was a big success in its inaugural year and it is hoped that the scheme will be expanded next year.

This unique course allowed students to attend Irish classes during the day and in the evening to attend rugby training sessions with Munster Community Rugby Officer Shane Ó Ruairc.
