Cork IT was the host venue for the first ever Munster Club Sevens Championship. Limerick side UL Bohemians emerged victorious in the final, booking their place in the All-Ireland Sevens Championship in two weeks’ time.

UL Bohemians beat Limerick neighbours Garryowen in the final, while Clonakilty won out in the plate final.

The Club Sevens Championship spans the month of May with the Ulster leg also taking place last weekend and the Leinster and Connacht tournaments scheduled for next Saturday.

The top two teams from all four legs qualify for the All-Ireland Club Sevens Championship in St. Mary’s College RFC on Saturday May 21.
