Domestic Rugby Manager – Connacht Branch

The IRFU are now looking to recruit a Domestic Rugby Manager to take responsibility for the implementation of the Provincial Development Plan in line with the IRFU strategy to increase the number of quality games in the province and to provide leadership to local rugby clubs and schools.

With an operational reporting line to the Chief Executive of Connacht Rugby and a functional reporting line to the IRFU Domestic Rugby Manager, this is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to deliver excellence across the game of rugby union in Connacht.

The successful candidate must have the rugby credibility to support club and school volunteers in the development of the game.

As the role entails working across a number of stakeholder groups there is a requirement to have the ability to support and influence outcomes for the overall benefit of the game.

We are looking to attract an individual who will demonstrate excellent relationship building qualities, motivational and leadership flair in motivating volunteers and staff alike in the development of the game in Connacht.

A high level of energy, integrity and passion to deliver across all areas of this role will be well regarded. A qualification in sports or management related discipline is an advantage.

This is a senior role within the provincial structures and an attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate.
