An Ireland Under-19/Under-20 development team has been named to for their match on Thursday night against a France Under-19 selection in Besançon, which is located 50km east of Dijon.
Thursday’s match against France is the second of two annual fixtures which allow the IRFU to benchmark individuals as well as the quality of the player development cycle.
The slected Ireland team is made up of the best Under-19 players (as per January 1 IRB regulations) from schools and clubs.
The side, led by Clongowes Wood’s Conor Gilsenan, is coached by Leinster Academy manager Colin McEntee and Ulster’s Jonny Bell.
