Ulster Bank League Semi-Finals Live On RTE

The Ulster Bank League is heading towards a thrilling conclusion this season and after the dramatic finish to the league phase, it was given a further boost today with the announcement that both Division 1 semi-finals will be broadcast live by RTE Sport.

Irish club rugby will be placed firmly in the shop window with both Division 1 semi-finals being played in prime afternoon slots on consecutive days over the weekend of April 16-17 for the right to play in the Ulster Bank League final.

The first semi-final will see Old Belvedere, who finished second in the table, play at home at Anglesea Road on Saturday, April 16 where they will host Division 1B winners Clontarf.

The winning team will become the unofficial Dublin and Leinster champions and set up what will be another Munster v Leinster encounter in the decider later this month.

The all-Munster semi-final is between 2011 Division 1 table toppers and defending champions Cork Constitution who will renew rivalries with Young Munster at Temple Hill on Sunday, April 17.

Both games will kick off at 2.35pm and will be shown live on RTE 2.

ULSTER BANK LEAGUE DIVISION 1 SEMI-FINALS:

Saturday, April 16 –

OLD BELVEDERE v CLONTARF, Anglesea Road, 2.35pm (live on RTE 2)

Sunday, April 17 –

CORK CONSTITUTION v YOUNG MUNSTER, Temple Hill, 2.35pm (live on RTE 2)
