Navan In The Pink For World Record Attempt

Navan Rugby Club will be in the pink this Saturday for their Ulster Bank League clash with Suttonians as they host their annual Pink Day for Action Breast Cancer. They are also attempting a Guinness World Record.

Over the last three years, Navan RFC has raised over €;30,000 for the Irish Cancer Society with their Pink Day initiatives.

This year they are making ‘Pink Day’ even bigger and better than previous years, and going for a Guinness World Record for the highest number of consecutive passes on a rugby pitch.

The record is currently held by the Newport Gwent Dragons at 279. Following Leinster’s victory over the Welsh side last weekend, Navan are aiming to complete the double over the Dragons.

The specially-commissioned ‘pink jerseys’ that the Navan team will wear during their final Ulster Bank League home game against Suttonians are being auctioned after the match.

Bids can be sent to the club President and auctioneer michaelgavigan@tjgavigan.com.
