Cup Finals Set For Templeville Road

The finals of the All-Ireland Junior Cup and the Bateman All-Ireland Cup will be a double header at Templeville Road, the home of St. Mary’s College RFC, on Saturday, April 9.

There will be a new name on both cups this season. In the All-Ireland Junior Cup final, Cork club Crosshaven will face Monivea from Galway.

Meanwhile, the much-anticipated Bateman Cup final will be contested by Dungannon, who edged past Corinthians last Saturday, and their Division 1B rivals Bruff.

The finals will take place at Templeville Road with the Junior Cup decider kicking off at 12pm and the Bateman Cup at 2pm.

Crosshaven nailed down their final spot with a win over Connacht Junior League champions Sligo, while Monivea knocked out Ulster challengers Cooke.

Bruff had a late win over Division 2 outfit UCD at Kilballyowen Park, and Justin Fitzpatrick’s Dungannon side needed extra-time to see off Corinthians in snowy conditions at Stevenson Park.
