Leinster Player Award For Nacewa

Versatile back Isa Nacewa has been announced as the Bank of Ireland Leinster Player of the Month for January-February.

Isa Nacewa was presented with the award earlier this week by Fergus Hickey, Business Adviser, Bank of Ireland.

Nacewa played in all seven of Leinster’s matches that took place during the period, including the two bonus point-winning games in the Heineken Cup, the second of which secured a home quarter-final for the province.

He contributed to Leinster’s score in all but one game, kicking nine penalties and five conversions as well as scoring two tries. This, combined with his consistent all round play, meant the majority of supporter nominations were for him.

Winning the monthly award puts Nacewa in contention for the Bank of Ireland Leinster Player of the Year award which is announced at the annual Leinster Awards Ball.
