Lux Re-Elected By ERC

Jean-Pierre Lux has been elected to serve a further three-year term as the independent Chairman of ERC, the organisers of the Heineken Cup and Amlin Challenge Cup tournaments.

Jean-Pierre Lux, who was first elected as ERC Chairman in 1999, was re-elected at an ERC Board meeting in Dublin on Wednesday, following a ballot of ERC directors from England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales.

Lux, who won 47 caps for France as a centre/winger between 1967 and 1975, and ERC Director Peter Wheeler made themselves available for election to the post.

“I am delighted to have received the backing of the ERC Board of Directors and I very much look forward to continue working closely with everyone involved with our two great tournaments in driving European club rugby forward,” said Lux.
