The Magners League round 11 showdown between Connacht and Munster looks set to go ahead as scheduled this evening, with a 6.10pm kick-off at the Sportsground.
The interprovincial derby was moved from Sunday to Monday as the pitch at the Sportsground was frozen following a week of heavy frost accross the country.
The straw that had been laid down to help protect the playing surface was lifted yesterday morning by a team of volunteers and Connacht were able to complete their Captain’s Run on the main pitch yesterday lunchtime.
All tickets for the game have been sold and those that cannot make it to the Sportsground can watch the action live on TG4 at 6.10pm.
