Muldoon Suffers Broken Arm

Connacht back rower and captain John Muldoon has suffered another injury setback after breaking his arm during last Friday’s Amlin Challenge Cup defeat to Harlequins at the Sportsground.

John Muldoon sustained a knock to his forearm in the 15-9 loss to Harlequins, with the full extent of the injury not yet known.

The 28-year-old from Portumna also broke his arm last June during Ireland’s summer tour match against New Zealand and missed Connacht’s opening games of the season as a result.

He has been ever present in the back row since his return against I Cavalieri Prato in October. Subsequent scans revealed another fracture in the forearm of the talismanic back rower, and further tests are due to be carried out.

The injury definitely rules him out of Connacht’s Magners League derby clash with Munster at the Sportsground on St. Stephen’s Day (kick-off 5pm).
