Killarney Rugby Club have launched a calendar with a difference. Calendars have become popular as fundraising techniques for many sports and charitable causes, however the Killarney RFC calendar combines a selection of photos of its playing members of all ages.
The true difference lies in the fact that each monthly pin-up is depicted in full Killarney playing gear, but are photographed in their place of work or in their daily surroundings.
The brainchild of local photographer, Keith Woodard, the calendar features superb action shots by Christina Houlihan Tydings – making this an ideal colourful gift to adorn any home, office or school for the coming year.
The calendar is available from a number of key outlets in Killarney town or from club members for the nominal fee of €;10 each.
All proceeds go towards the purchase of new grounds, which the club are about to purchase in the coming weeks. This will help give the club a permanent home for the first time since its foundation in the 1880s.
