Varley Added To Ireland Squad

Both Tony Buckley and Rob Kearney sustained injuries in Ireland’s GUINNESS Series defeat to South Africa on Saturday evening.

Tony Buckley suffered a hip injury during the game, and was replaced in the front row by Tom Court in the 51st minute.

Full-back Rob Kearney was replaced shortly after scoring Ireland’s second try against the Springboks, having picked up a knee injury.

A further update on the condition of both players will be issued tomorrow (Monday).

Meanwhile, hooker Damien Varley has been added to the 30-man Ireland squad that was in camp last week and any further additions to the panel of players will be confirmed tomorrow morning.
