Ireland v South Africa: What Are The Odds?

Ireland welcome South Africa to the Aviva Stadium on Saturday evening and Paddy Power are predicting it’s going to be every bit as close as it was 12 months ago when Croke Park was the venue.

The reigning World champions, South Africa, had a tough Tri Nations campaign by their standards and they’ll be eager to use this Test to prove it was a blip.

Ireland have made some changes, but still send out an experienced team with aspirations of making it four wins in-a-row over the Springboks.

The odds suggest it’s as close as can be. Both sides are priced up as 10/11 shots to win the game, with the 20/1 on offer for the draw not looking inconceivable.

Jonathan Sexton’s boot did the damage last time out as Ireland claimed a hard-fought five-point win and those who fancy a similar result this time around may be tempted to side with the alternative handicap of Ireland -6 points @ 15/8.
