Connacht coach Eric Elwood says he will give some of the province’s younger players the chance to shine in this glamour fixture.

“We are going to be making some changes as there’s guys who have played nearly all the games so far, as we’ve targeted the Magners League,” he said.

“They now deserve a rest plus there’s a few knocks and bruises and we picked up a couple of serious injuries (to Niva Ta’auso and Ray Ofisa) in Treviso, so it’s an opportunity for some of the younger players to show what they can do.

“They’ve been playing very well for their clubs and now this is a chance for them to play at a higher level and try and put a claim in for selection in the Magners League side.”
