De La Salle Palmerston FC have confirmed that Wednesday’s friendly fixture against London Irish, which was due to draw a big crowd to Kirwan Park, has been cancelled.
A statement from the Kilternan-based club read: “It is with regret that De La Salle Palmerston FC would like to advise that the game against London Irish has been cancelled.
“We are aware there was massive interest in this game and a very large crowd had been expected to attend on the night.
“With this in mind we welcome any help from club members to ensure that they advise any neighbours/friends or anyone they know that had intended on travelling to the game, so as to prevent any inconvenience being caused to people on the night.”
Meanwhile, DLSP are hosting an Open Day on Sunday August 29th, from 10am, at Kirwan Park. They are looking for new underage players – aged 5 to 19 – for their Mini and Youth Sections.
All are welcome. There are fully qualified IRFU coaches on site and a fun environment to play in. Please email info@dlspfc.ie for further information on playing for the club.
