Ards Women Make First Splash

Thunderstorms, heavy rain and lightning greeted Ards’ new Women’s section at their first training session rcently.

Undeterred by the downpours, the Ards girls took to the soaked pitches like ducks to water, and training numbers have increased steadily week by week.

Well done to Ross Reid, ably assisted by Ian Caughey, on his inaugural outing with Ards’ first fledgling Women’s side, and the new players have been made feel very welcome at Hamilton Park.

With the first few sessions out of the way, the girls are continuing to train on Wednesday evenings from 6.45pm to 8.30pm.

For more information about joining Ards Women’s section, please contact Ross Reid on tel: 07801 848762, everyone welcome.
