‘Quins Celebrate 10 Years As NIFC And Collegians Reform

It is ten years since NIFC and Collegians merged to form Belfast Harlequins and to mark the anniversary, the AIB League Division 2 club will host a challenge match with past players from the founding teams.

In 2000, Collegians and NIFC took the decision to merge and form Belfast Harlequins. To mark the the tenth anniversary, Deramore Park will play host to a challenge match between past players of the founding clubs this coming Saturday.

Past players from both of the founding clubs will come together and once again play in their old colours (which formed the basis for the distinctive ‘Quins crest).

Saturday’s match kicks off at 3.30pm at Deramore Park followed by a barbecue and a players’ dinner later in the evening.

It promises to be a great day to remember two great clubs and to celebrate their joint history so get down to Deramore Park for a trip down memory lane with North and Collegians and of course ‘Quins’ excellent hospitality!
