Connacht Hall Of Fame Honour For Mannion

Former Ireland number 8 Noel Mannion will be honoured at the inaugural Connacht Rugby Awards ceremony which will take this coming Saturday in the Ardilaun House Hotel in Galway.

Noel Mannion, the former Ballinasloe, Corinthians, Lansdowne and Buccaneers club player, will receive the Hall of Fame award at the Connacht Rugby Awards.

Mannion, who was capped 16 times by Ireland, played 34 times for Connacht during a great career, the highlight of which came with his famous try against Wales at the old Arms ParksĀ during the 1989 Five Nations.

A presentation will also be made to Michael Bradley who is stepping down as Connacht coach after seven years in charge, while there will be other team and individual awards on the night.
