Munster’s Deasy Free To Play

An Irish Rugby Football Union disciplinary panel held a hearing to consider a citing against Munster full-back Scott Deasy from the Munster v Scarlets Magners League game at Musgrave Park last Thursday.

Scott Deasy was cited for an alleged trip on Scarlets winger Andy Fenby in the 44th minute of the game in contravention of law 10.4 (d).

The IRFU panel was charied by David Martin and he was assisted by Phil Orr and John Glackin.

Having studied the match footage and heard all available evidence, the disciplinary panel upheld the citing but found that the offence did not warrant a red card and no sanction was imposed on the player and he is free to play.
