Connacht Branch Honours Creggs Clubman

There were two significant achievements for Roscommon club Creggs RFC recently, as club stalwart Adrian Leddy was honoured by the Connacht Branch and a new club jersey was launched.

Connacht Branch President Steve Cunningham presented Adrian Leddy with a Galway Crystal tankard in recognition of his contribution to Creggs, Connacht and Irish rugby.

Steve hailed Adrian’s significant influence on the domestic game, especially in his support and work with junior clubs and his efforts in establishing a flourishing mini section at Creggs.

He also paid tribute to Adrian’s work with the Connacht junior squad and wished him well in the forthcoming campaign.

Connacht’s Domestic Rugby Manager Martin Gallagher said: “I have known Adrian for 30 years, his service to the game and willingness to assist others has no bounds and not to mention, he is a larger than life character.”

Creggs RFC President Liam Callaghan added: “We are delighted that Adrian has been recognised by the Connacht Branch. He works hard at the club for us and as the Branch representative, he keeps us fully appraised of the domestic game in Connacht.”
