Hagan Extends Contract With Connacht

Connacht prop Jamie Hagan has extended his contract at the Sportsground after an impressive first season with Michael Bradley’s men.

Jamie Hagan, a former Ireland Youths, Under-18 and Under-20 international, said he is delighted with the way things have worked out for him since moving to Galway.

“It has been great and I’m looking forward to another season,” said Hagan, who featured in the Ireland U-20 squad, coached by Eric Elwood and Dan McFarland, that won the Grand Slam back in 2007.

Connacht CEO Gerry Kelly said that in a week when hooker Sean Cronin is included in the Ireland squad to play England at Twickenham in the RBS 6 Nations, it is very encouraging to see young players prosper after moving to Connacht.

“Jamie is having a great season and has been a big addition to our squad on and off the field and it is great that he is committing to Connacht for another season,” said Kelly.
