Flannery Expected To Return Next Month

There is positive news regarding Jerry Flannery’s Achilles injury. He is expected to return to action for Munster in mid-January, after initial fears that he would miss the start of the RBS 6 Nations in February.

Following on from the exploratory procedure he had yesterday, Munster hooker Jerry Flannery is expected to be back playing sometime in January.

At this stage it is thought likely that Flannery will be available for Munster’s Heineken Cup round 5 trip to Benetton Treviso in mid-January.

Munster coach Tony McGahan was said to be ‘delighted’ for Flannery and Munster Rugby to have ‘such a good player back in action by then.’
