Six Nations Elite Coaches Conference

The annual Six Nations Elite Coaching Conference took place earlier this year. The IRFU Coaching Department is delighted to announce that the conference brochure is now available to download.

The theme of this year’s conference was ‘Coaching the Game of the Future’ with participants encouraged, through discussions and practical application, to develop their ideas from various sessions delivered over the four days.

The summary of the lessons learned and reflections of the coaches at page 16 (of the download) provides a strong indicator of another successful conference.

The guest speakers – Brian Ashton, John Neal, Marco Bortolami and Rob Howley – provided the coaches with excellent food for thought, stimulating some effective learning and informal sharing of ideas.

The conference was attended by coaches in the Level 3 programme of the IRFU Coaching Pathway – Peter Smyth (St. Mary’s College RFC), Brian Walsh (Cork Constitution FC), Ian Costello (UL Bohemians RFC), Greg Lynch (Ireland Under-18 Clubs), David O’Mahony (Dolphin RFC) and Greig Oliver (Garryowen FC).

The brochure available for download includes an outline of the programme, presentations and workshop findings – click here.
