In Pics: Ireland ‘A’ Visit Tallaght Schools

The Ireland ‘A’ team play the Argentina Jaguares at Tallaght Stadium on Friday night. Ahead of this historic first rugby fixture at the ground, the players took time out from training to visit a few local schools.

The Ireland ‘A’ squad took time off from training this week to visit some schools in Tallaght ahead of the historic first rugby match at Tallaght Stadium on Friday.

Ireland ‘A’ captain Mick O’Driscoll was accompanied by Mike Ross, Fergus McFadden, John Muldoon, Ian Humphreys and manager Joey Miles and for good measure they brought along the Churchill Cup which Ireland ‘A’ won earlier this year when they beat the England Saxons in a memorable final.

The players and their trophy received a fantastic reception from the boys and girls in St. Dominic’s National School, St. Mary’s National School, St. Ann’s National School and St. Mark’s Secondary School.

Many of the boys and girls promised that they will be at Tallaght Stadium on Friday night to support the ‘A’ team. The game kicks off at 7.30pm.

Tickets for the game are still available from the O2 Store in the Square Shopping Centre or you can pay at the gate on the night.
