NUMBERS GAME:

4 – Ireland and Australia have clashed in four of the six Rugby World Cup tournaments to date, including that memorable quarter-final defeat at Lansdowne Road in 1991.

Sunday’s game has added spice in the fact that the sides will meet again in the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand after being drawn together in Pool C

6 – Ireland have won six of the nine Test matches to be played at Croke Park so far, including two victories over England and single successes over Italy, Scotland, Argentina and France.

The French, back in the first game at the Jones’s Road venue in 2007, Wales and New Zealand are the other visiting sides to have triumphed at Croker
