AIB LEAGUE: DIVISION 1B: Saturday, October 24

YOUNG MUNSTER 3 OLD BELVEDERE 3, Tom Clifford Park

Scorers: Young Munster: Pen: Alan Kingsley
Old Belvedere: Pen: Fergus McFadden

Young Munster were camped for most of the second half at or near the Old Belvedere line but they could not manage to get over. Indeed, on three occasions they were held up over the line.

Belvo had both of their props, Daniel Wyeth and Nermin Lovic, sin-binned just before half-time at which stage the sides were deadlocked at 3-3.

Fergus McFadden kicked the Dubliners ahead with a fifth minute penalty and five minutes later Alan Kingsley fired over Young Munster’s only successful penalty.

The home side also had Shane O’Neill sin-binned, while Kingsley unfortunately suffered an ankle injury and had to be replaced.
