Following a disciplinary hearing, Hayes was suspended for a period of six weeks from the date of the offence up to and including Saturday, November 14.

The appeal hearing will take place in the IRFU offices at 10-12 Lansdowne Road, Dublin at 5.30pm tomorrow (Tuesday, October 13).

The appeal panel will be chaired by Billy Glynn, Chairman of the IRFU Appeals Committee, and he will be assisted by Leo Galvin and George Spotswood.
