Irish rugby legend Ollie Campbell is set to make history on Thursday night (October 1) in Smyth’s Pub in Malahide, where he will be unveiling and presenting the new Malahide RFC kit to the club’s first team squad.
The same evening will witness the introduction of Malahide’s two new overseas players, flown in and signed just last week in a whirlwind of secrecy as Malahide gears up for serious stuff this season.
The kit has retained its age old traditional black and gold colours, but has gone kind of ‘Tour de Francey’ according to club sources.
Members of the public are all very welcome to come along to see Ollie Campbell and to hear his opening season address.
The former Ireland out-half will be presenting the new kit and hopefully imparting wise advice to Malahide in advance of the start of their Leinster League Division 3 campaign, which kicks off against Balbriggan at Estuary Road next Sunday (3pm).
