Kids Scrum Down For Ulster Summer Camp Fun

Last week saw the Ulster Rugby Summer Camps travel to Methody’s Pirrie Park and City of Derry RFC, with the unsettled weather of sunshine and showers failing to dampen the kids’ enthusiasm.

The Ulster Rugby Summer Camps, sponsored by Centra, got underway at Methody and City of Derry with more fun and rugby drills.

The highlight of the week came when Ulster players Paddy Wallace, Ryan Caldwell and Simon Danielli visited the Methody camp, while their provincial team-mates Matt McCullough, Robbie Diack and Andy Kyriacou dropped in to the City of Derry camp.

Representatives from camp sponsors, Centra, also visited the camps to show their support.

Children got the chance to quiz their rugby heroes and had shirts, rugby balls and even their boots signed by the players!

Lots of games were played and drills worked on during the week and the coaches have been very impressed at the level of skill and enthusiasm shown by all groups.

Spaces are still available at the remaining camps this summer, but parents are encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment.

Junior camps cost £65 while the senior camp costs £85 (discounts are available for second family members).
