O’Kelly Cleared Of Misconduct

An Irish Rugby Football Union disciplinary hearing adjudicated on Tuesday evening on the citing of Leinster second row Malcolm O’Kelly, arising from the Ospreys v Leinster Magners League game last Friday.

Malcolm O’Kelly was citied under law 10.4 (b) for an alleged stamp to the head of Ospreys player David Bishop in the 68th minute of the game.

The hearing took place in Ravenhill, Belfast at 4.30pm on Tuesday and was heard under a disciplinary committee chaired by Hugh Logan who was assisted by Neil Jackson and Stephen Hilditch.

Having studied the match footage and heard all available evidence, the disciplinary committee ruled that on the balance of probability of the presented evidence that no sanction should be imposed on O’Kelly.

The player is therefore free to continue playing.
