The Exiles are pleased to be playing their part for the Ireland Sevens squad travelling to Dubai for the Rugby World Cup Sevens tournament, which takes place next week (March 5-7).
The Ireland squad is coached by Sevens ‘expert’ Jon Skurr, the Rotherham Titans number 8 and former Ireland Under-21 international.
Jon was appointed in 2008 to lead Ireland through the qualifying tournaments (in Denmark, Poland, and Germany), which he did successfully.
Jon has previously captained and coached the DHL Exiles Sevens to some notable victories in recent seasons.
The captain will be Kieran Campbell, the former Ireland scrum half, now plying his trade with Connacht, but a West Londoner (and London Irish man) by upbringing.
The Exiles wish them – and the squad – well in their endeavours.
