Finn On The Mark For Bohs

UL Bohemians showed their mettle at a weather-beaten Annacotty as they faced into a gusting wind in the second half and still came out on top against Dungannon.

AIB LEAGUE: DIVISION ONE: Saturday, January 17

UL BOHEMIANS 11 DUNGANNON 0, Annacotty
Scorers: UL Bohemians: Try: Coleman Finn; Pens: Aidan McNulty 2
Dungannon: –
HT: UL Bohemians 3 Dungannon 0

Backed by the gale and the torrential rain in the first half, UL Bohemians could manage only a penalty from Aidan McNulty but just on half-time Dungannon had flanker Derek Hall sin-binned.

Turning with the wind at their backs, the visitors were clear favourites at that point to repeat their win of last season.

But McNulty landed an early second half penalty for the home side and when Coleman Finn mustered a try, it was curtains for Dungannon who had a second player, replacement Jamie Turkington, sent to the bin late on.

The nearest Dungannon came to a score was via a penalty by full-back John McGuckin but his effort drifted wide.
