Belvedere Bounce Back Against Ballymena

Eamonn Fitzgerald fired four penalty goals through the posts at Eaton Park as Old Belvedere got the better of Ballymena and put an end to their recent run of AIB League defeats.

Old Belvedere claimed a much-needed Division One win in the wind and rain at Eaton Park.

Belvo ended a run of four league defeats as winger Eamonn Fitzgerald’s haul of four penalty goals helped them overcome Ballymena.

Try-scoring chances were at a premium and aided by the wind, Fitzgerald kicked three penalties to steer the Dubliners to a 9-0 half-time lead.

Ballymena scrum half Craig Woods missed two penalty opportunities and Fitzgerald held his nerve to land the only points of the second period.
