Keogh To Lead Leinster ‘A’

Versatile back rower Stephen Keogh has been selected to captain Leinster ‘A’ against Saracens ‘A’ in Thursday’s friendly match at Old Albanians RFC (kick-off 3.15pm), which is the start of a busy period for the province’s ‘A’ side.

Stephen Keogh starts at number 8 and will lead a strong Leinster ‘A’ team which includes Trevor Hogan, John Fogarty, Sean O’Brien and Jonathan Sexton, who partners Chris Keane at half-back.

Blackrock College clubman Ian Madigan will make his ‘A’ team debut at full-back in a fast back-three, alongside Gary Brown and Simon Keogh.

Over the next month-and-a-half, Leinster ‘A’ have six fixtures lined up, beginning with Thursday’s clash with Saracens ‘A’.

Monday, December 22
Leinster ‘A’ v Ireland Under-20s, Donnybrook, kick-off tbc 

Monday, December 29
Leinster ‘A’ v Ulster ‘A’, Donnybrook, 2.30pm
