The centre piece for Magners League round 6 was the provincial derby between Ulster and Munster at Ravenhill, which finished in a 22-6 win for the hosts. Elsewhere, Connacht held Edinburgh scoreless in the second half of their Sportsground tie but the Scots still prevailed by 27-14, while reigning champions Leinster lost their third straight league game as Glasgow outgunned them at Firhill (15-12).
