Mini Rugby is thriving in clubs all over Ireland. Hundreds of kids, parents and coaches gathered at Terenure College recently for the HSBC Rugby Festival. British and Irish Lions stars Brian O’Driscoll and Jason Robinson were on hand to meet the teams and offer some coaching tips on the day.
The HSBC Rugby Festival forms part of the HSBC sponsorship of the British & Irlsh Lions and is aimed at creating a lasting legacy from their association with the Lions.

Kids, coaches and parents from clubs in all four provinces took part in an annual blitz day which this year was sponsored by HSBC and involved not just a series of matches but also coaching tips from the Penguins – an international touring side which promotes the ethos of the game around the world.
The day was capped by the appearance of British and Irish Lions stars Brian O’Driscoll and Jason Robinson, who both proved to be a huge hit with the participants.
